HON OLUSOJI ALADE FELICITATES RT. HON BABATUNDE OLANIYAN AKORO ON RE-APPOINTMENT AS CHAIRMAN, 3SC

A People's Democratic Party, PDP Stalwart in Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Olusoji Olusegun ALADE SOJ has joined well wishers to felicitate a former Deputy Speaker of Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Babatunde Olaniyan, most affectionately called AKORO on his reappointment as the Chairman/Sole Administrator of the SHOOTING STARS SOCCER CLUB (3SC) by His Excellency, The Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi MAKINDE on Wednesday, August 9th, 2023.

Hon. AKORO, who served as PDP Collating Officer for Ibadan North Local Government at the 2023 General Elections, was initially appointed in February 2022 and his appointment propelled Shooting Stars to gain promotion to the NPFL. In his first full season with the club, they won a Pre-Season Tournament in 2022 and they didn't struggle too hard to retain their status in the Elite league.

In a short congratulatory message, Hon. SOJ cites the importance of having a seasoned football referee and administrator as Hon. AKORO at the helms of affairs at the Club and he prays that this appointment will bring forth more success to the Chairman and the team as a whole. The message read in part:

"From the depth of my heart, I congratulate you an astute Leader and a seasoned Administrator on your re-appointment as the Chairman of our darling home club, the 3SC. 

"Of a truth, you are the perfect round peg in the round hole and I am certain that under your tutelage, the club shall return to its glory days of the 70s and 80s when Shooting Stars was the darling of the entire nation.

"Furthermore, I thank His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Oyo State, who is someone that has an eye for Excellence. This has been proven once again with such an appointment at a time like this. 

"Once again, I congratulate and celebrate you Sir. May your tenure be a success for the Oluyole Warriors. Amen."
