Ibadan North LG: Hon. Oluwafemi Marquis Congratulates Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade (Onala) On his 1st Anniversary in office

A core Humanitarian and former PDP aspirant for Oyo State House of Assembly, Ibadan North Constituency, Hon. Oluwafemi Akanmu Marquis, has congratulated Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade ONALA on his one year anniversary as the Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government.

JCIN Ambassador Oluwafemi Akanmu Marquis praised Hon. ONALA's leadership, saying, "You came through for me last year at a time I needed you and that can't be forgotten. You're a great leader who has the unity of PDP at heart in Ibadan North."

According to Hon. Marquis, Hon. ONALA's commitment to the development of Ibadan North is commendable. "You're someone who has shown exceptional leadership skills, and I'm confident that you'll continue to take Ibadan North to greater heights."

Hon. Marquis wished Hon. Olufade well for the future, saying, "I wish you continued success and many more years of fruitful service to the good people of Ibadan North and Oyo State at large."

We join Hon. Marquis in congratulating Hon. ONALA on his first anniversary and wish him continued success in his leadership role.

As Hon. Marquis noted, "Hon. ONALA's unique approach to leadership has endeared him to the people of Ibadan North. His kindness, empathy, and willingness to listen have made him a beloved figure in the local government. It's no wonder that many people who had left the PDP are now returning, drawn by Hon. ONALA's inclusive and people-centric leadership style."

Just In: (Pictorial) Tragedy Strikes Ibadan || Police Stray Bullet Claims Life of 17-Year-Old Student Published by Samuel Toba-Olumide   Ibadan, Oyo State - A somber mood has engulfed the Alakia-Welfare-Airport Ibadan community following a tragic incident on Airport Road, Alakia, where a 17-year-old student lost his life in a hail of bullets fired by police officers. According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred when a driver, allegedly passing through a one-way street, was pursued by police officers. In the ensuing chase, the officers opened fire, and a stray bullet struck another vehicle carrying the teenager, who was on his way to school to sit for a WAEC exam. The foremost monarch, who ascended the throne in July 2024, died in the early hours of Monday, July 7, 2025, after spending a year on the throne.  The demise of Oba Olakulehin, born July 5, 1935, is coming barely two days after celebrating his 90th birthday.  Oba Olakulehin received the staff of office from Oyo State Governor Engr.
