The Councillor representing Ward 1 in Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Yetunde Ayinke Folarin, on Friday, March 27, 2026, organized the 41st day Fidau prayer in honor of her beloved mother, the late Hajia RAMAT MUDASHIR MOYOSORE, who passed away in the early hours of Monday, February 16, 2026.




The solemn and well-attended prayer session took place at Ward 1, Sapati, Ibadan, drawing family members, political associates, community leaders, and well-wishers who gathered to offer prayers for the repose of the deceased matriarch’s soul.

The event was a moment of reflection and tribute, as friends and family paid their last respects, celebrating the life and legacy of the late Alhaja Moyosore, remembered for her warmth, strength, and devotion to family and community.




Dignitaries present at the event, either in person or through representatives, included notable figures such as the Political Leader of the Ward and Deputy Chief of Staff of Oyo State, Hon. Kazim Adeyinka Adeniyi BIBIRE; the Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade; the Oyo State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Inclusion, Hon. Toyin Balogun; Ibadan North PDP stalwart, Hon. Soji Alade SOJ and Ibadan North Assistant Secretary, Hon. Flow.

Others in attendance were the Personal Assistant to the Deputy Chief of Staff, Hon. Mumini Ademola; Leader of the Ibadan North House, Hon. Taiwo Adebola; PDP stakeholder and Publisher of BishopWee Media, Mogaji Samuel Toba-Olumide; as well as her colleagues, including her fellow Councillors (from Ward 1 to Ward 12), Ward 2 PDP Chairman, Mr. Akanbi Eiye and Supervisory Councillors, Hon. Dolapo Olurinde (10/10) from Ward 1 and Hon. Monsurat Olalekan from Ward 3.






In a heartfelt show of appreciation, Hon. Folarin acknowledged the unwavering support of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) structure in Ward 1. She specially recognized party leaders including BABA ODERAJO, ALHAJA SULIAT (ISHOLA), LEADER ADEWUYI, and the Ward Executives led by Chairman Hon. ALIMI LUKMAN (Gentle). She also extended her gratitude to the Youth Leader, Comrade Ismail Saheed; the Women Leader, Mrs. Temilola Ogundeji; all PDP members in Ward 1; Islamic clerics; and members of her social circle, THE PEACE LOVERS’ SISTERS’ CLUB, led by their Olórí, Mrs. Odunayo Junaid.

Expressing deep gratitude, she was quoted as saying:

“I sincerely appreciate everyone who honored me with their presence, prayers, support, and thoughtful gifts during this period. Your kindness and solidarity mean so much to me and my family. May Almighty Allah reward you all abundantly.”





The event was gracefully anchored by the Master of Ceremony, Alfa Saheed Akorede Mourinho, whose coordination added dignity and flow to the solemn gathering.

The Fidau prayer not only served as a spiritual remembrance but also reflected the strong bonds of community, faith, and political unity within Ibadan North.
