PDP Stalwart, Hon. Olusoji Alade (SOJ) Backs Ward 2 Community Road, Drainage and Water Project Initiated by Councillor, Hon. Tope Olaseemo

A frontline stalwart of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Ibadan North Local Government and the 2025 Champion of Ibadan Culture, Hon. Olusoji Olusegun Alade, popularly known as Hon. SOJ, has once again demonstrated his unwavering commitment to grassroots development by providing substantial financial support and strategic intervention to a major community development project initiated by the Councillor representing Ward 2, Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Temitope Olaseemo.




The ongoing project, which comprises a half-kilometer (0.5km) road drainage construction and road filling, was conceived, mobilised, and kick-started by Hon. Temitope Olaseemo at Unity Forum Community, Olopa Beeri Area, Boola Zone, Inalende, Ward 2. In his drive to address perennial flooding, poor road access, and sanitation challenges in the area, the Councillor garnered significant financial backing and material support from Hon. SOJ, thereby accelerating the execution and expansion of the project.

The intervention is aimed at tackling persistent flooding, improving road accessibility, enhancing environmental sanitation, and boosting the overall quality of life of residents. In addition, Hon. SOJ also facilitated the repair and rehabilitation of the community water well, restoring clean, safe, and accessible water supply to the people.





Speaking during the intervention, Hon. SOJ reaffirmed his dedication to grassroots development and people-centered leadership.

“True leadership is about touching lives and creating lasting impact. Development must start from the grassroots, and access to good roads and clean water remains fundamental to human dignity and wellbeing. This support is my humble contribution towards ensuring a healthier, safer, and more prosperous community,” Hon. SOJ stated.

He further emphasized the importance of collective responsibility, unity, and sincere leadership in achieving sustainable community development.

Speaking on behalf of the community, the Councillor representing Ibadan North Ward 2, Hon. Temitope Olaseemo, expressed heartfelt appreciation to Hon. SOJ for his timely and impactful support.

“This support by Hon. SOJ is deeply appreciated by the entire Unity Forum Community and Ward 2 at large. This project was initiated to bring lasting relief to our people, and his backing has greatly strengthened its execution. This is not the first time Hon. SOJ is reaching out to the grassroots. His consistency, compassion, and commitment to community upliftment remain truly commendable. We pray for his continuous success and greater accomplishments,” he said.

Other community leaders and residents also expressed their profound gratitude, offering prayers for Hon. SOJ and describing him as a dependable leader, grassroots mobilizer, and true ambassador of Ibadan culture whose interventions continue to positively transform lives.
