Progressive Barbers Association, Ibadan North Chapter Hails Rep Fola Oyekunle DoN For Promise Kept, Receives Brand-new Generator

The Ibadan North Chapter of the Progressive Barbers Association (PBA), Oyo State, has applauded the Member representing Ibadan North Federal Constituency, Hon. Fola Oyekunle DoN, for fulfilling his promise to the association with the donation of a brand-new electricity generator to its secretariat.

The Association describes gesture as a demonstration of responsive representation and commitment to grassroots engagement

The presentation, which took place on Thursday, October 29, 2026, fulfilled a commitment made by the federal lawmaker during an engagement with members of the association in September. At the meeting, the barbers had appealed for support to address electricity challenges affecting the smooth operation of their secretariat. Hon. Oyekunle DoN promised to intervene, including the provision of a solar-powered inverter system, while assuring them of an immediate generator to ease the situation pending further support.

True to his word, the lawmaker has now delivered the brand-new generator, drawing commendation from members of the association, who described the gesture as timely, thoughtful and a practical demonstration of people-oriented representation.

The State President of the Progressive Barbers Association, Oyo State, Alh. Comrade S. Ademuyiwa Mustapha, was present at the presentation to receive the generator on behalf of the association. Members of the Ibadan North Chapter's leadership and other stakeholders were also in attendance to witness the fulfilment of the promise.

The association expressed profound appreciation to Hon. Fola Oyekunle DoN for his accessibility, commitment to engagement and determination to translate promises into tangible results. It noted that the intervention would significantly support the chapter's administrative activities and strengthen the association's operational capacity, while further deepening the cordial relationship between the lawmaker and the barbering community.

The Progressive Barbers Association, Ibadan North Chapter, reaffirmed its gratitude and prayed for greater wisdom, strength and success for the Honourable Representative in his continued service to the people. The association concluded with its spirited slogans: 

"Up Barbers! Fine Cut!!" 
"Atorise! Ori wa Ko ni Daru!!"
