2023 ELECTIONS: APC PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE, BOLA AHMED TINUBU DISREGARDED IBADAN MONARCHS AND CHIEFS

The APC Presidential Candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed TINUBU was in Ibadan today, 16th of February, 2023 ahead of the February 25th General Elections. However, he kept the Ibadan Traditional Council waiting for hours and he couldn't meet with them eventually.
News gathered by the media from a member of the Traditional Council (who pleads Anonymity), reveals that the Ibadan Traditional Council who waited in vain included The OLUBADAN OF IBADAN, His Imperial Majesty Oba (Sen) Dr. Mahood Olalekan Balogun ALLI-OKUNMADE II, The Olubadan in Council (High Chiefs), the League of Ibadan Mogajis and the Baales.

The action came as a rude shock to the Chiefs on ground. The Oloye that spoke with the Media Team claims they were informed within short notice about the meeting, precisely on Wednesday 15th of February around 8:00pm. They have been at the venue since 8:00am on Thursday and were there all through before Asiwaju came. He came in late for the Campaign and left to meet with the Council of SouthWest Obas at the International Conference Center, U.I, Ibadan, neglecting the Members of IBADAN Traditional Council with whom he had agreed to meet earlier.
The Ibadan Chiefs and Mogajis took this to be a slap on the face of the whole Ibadan land because this is utter disrespect to the Monarchy of the Ancient City of Ibadan, which was the Capital of the Old Western Region.
The report concluded that they will rather follow the Presidential Candidates who give regards and respect to the land's tradition than someone who doesn't respect the Royal Fathers.
