BREAKING: BUHARI EXTENDS USAGE OF 200 NAIRA NOTES BY 60 DAYS

The President and Commander in Chief of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, General Muhammadu Buhari retd, GCFR has directed the Apex Bank, CBN to allow only the old 200 Naira Note remain a legal tender until the 10th of April.




He says this will enable the ease of pains presently experienced by Nigerian Citizens in the course of the Naira Redesign Policy. However, the 500 and 1000 NAIRA notes cease to the Legal Tenders, as broadcasted live by the President this morning, 16th of February, 2023

Just In: (Pictorial) Tragedy Strikes Ibadan || Police Stray Bullet Claims Life of 17-Year-Old Student Published by Samuel Toba-Olumide   Ibadan, Oyo State - A somber mood has engulfed the Alakia-Welfare-Airport Ibadan community following a tragic incident on Airport Road, Alakia, where a 17-year-old student lost his life in a hail of bullets fired by police officers. According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred when a driver, allegedly passing through a one-way street, was pursued by police officers. In the ensuing chase, the officers opened fire, and a stray bullet struck another vehicle carrying the teenager, who was on his way to school to sit for a WAEC exam. The foremost monarch, who ascended the throne in July 2024, died in the early hours of Monday, July 7, 2025, after spending a year on the throne.  The demise of Oba Olakulehin, born July 5, 1935, is coming barely two days after celebrating his 90th birthday.  Oba Olakulehin received the staff of office from Oyo State Governor Engr.
