The Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr Seyi MAKINDE has been declared the winner of the 2023 GUBERNATORIAL Elections in the State.

He defeated his closest challenger with the widest margin in Oyo State History.


The local government collated election results across the 33 councils in Oyo state as announced by returning officers who were largely drawn from the University of Ibadan on Sunday indicated that the 6 major political parties ACCORD(38,357), APC (256,685), PDP (566,766); NNPP (964),and SDP(2824), PDP earthquaked all contested parties with reasons some analysts have regarded populism and public oriented agenda set by Makinde.
