A member of the OMITUNTUN 2.0 Transition Committee who was also the Director of Women Mobilization During the Erstwhile OmiTuntun 2.0 Campaign, HON (MRS) TOYIN BALOGUN has felicitated a staunch Leader of the People's Democratic Party, PDP in Ibadan North, Oyo State on the occasion of his auspicious birthday.

In her message of greetings, she wrote:

Hearty birthday cheers to Alhaji Dauda Ayoola who goes by the sobriquet "Baba Oyinbo"

Baba Oyinbo is a rare breed,one of those strong grassroots political juggernauts whose calling card is Integrity.

In a millieu (politics) characterised by betrayals, intrigues, backstabbing and games within games, Baba Oyinbo is a refreshing aberration. Baba Oyinbo is one of those rare political leaders who is straightforward and whose word is his bond.


I celebrate today, a dyed in the wool GSMist, one of those leaders who stayed resolutely in the trenches with us to ensure our local government was delivered resoundingly in favour of my Principal GSM and our local candidates.

My heartfelt prayer is that Allah( SWT) grant you many more years lived in health,comfort and surrounded by your loved ones.

Just In: (Pictorial) Tragedy Strikes Ibadan || Police Stray Bullet Claims Life of 17-Year-Old Student Published by Samuel Toba-Olumide   Ibadan, Oyo State - A somber mood has engulfed the Alakia-Welfare-Airport Ibadan community following a tragic incident on Airport Road, Alakia, where a 17-year-old student lost his life in a hail of bullets fired by police officers. According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred when a driver, allegedly passing through a one-way street, was pursued by police officers. In the ensuing chase, the officers opened fire, and a stray bullet struck another vehicle carrying the teenager, who was on his way to school to sit for a WAEC exam. The foremost monarch, who ascended the throne in July 2024, died in the early hours of Monday, July 7, 2025, after spending a year on the throne.  The demise of Oba Olakulehin, born July 5, 1935, is coming barely two days after celebrating his 90th birthday.  Oba Olakulehin received the staff of office from Oyo State Governor Engr.
