BREAKING: IBADAN NORTH CHAIRMAN ÀGBÀ EGBÉ SUSPENDED AS COUNCIL CHAIRMAN, VICE TO TAKE OVER

The Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Yusuf Sahib Oladayo popularly called ÀGBÀ EGBÉ has been today suspended as Council Chairman with immediate effect. This came after a Plenary session of the Oyo State House of Assembly today Tuesday July 18th, 2023.

Earlier last week, the Party leaders and stakeholders have adopted Hon. Oluwaseun OLUFADE ONALA to pick the party's ticket in order to contest the OYSIEC 2024 ELECTIONS as the candidate to replace the incumbent.

The ousted Chairman is to be replaced tentatively with the Vice, Hon. Biiro

Agba Egbe was alleged of impunity, abuse of office and misappropriation of local government funds.

The house however constituted an adhoc committee headed by Mr Peter Ojedokun to investigate the allegations

Just In: (Pictorial) Tragedy Strikes Ibadan || Police Stray Bullet Claims Life of 17-Year-Old Student Published by Samuel Toba-Olumide   Ibadan, Oyo State - A somber mood has engulfed the Alakia-Welfare-Airport Ibadan community following a tragic incident on Airport Road, Alakia, where a 17-year-old student lost his life in a hail of bullets fired by police officers. According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred when a driver, allegedly passing through a one-way street, was pursued by police officers. In the ensuing chase, the officers opened fire, and a stray bullet struck another vehicle carrying the teenager, who was on his way to school to sit for a WAEC exam. The foremost monarch, who ascended the throne in July 2024, died in the early hours of Monday, July 7, 2025, after spending a year on the throne.  The demise of Oba Olakulehin, born July 5, 1935, is coming barely two days after celebrating his 90th birthday.  Oba Olakulehin received the staff of office from Oyo State Governor Engr.
