You see,

There is something strategic going on in Oyo State under the leadership of Governor Seyi Makinde. It is remarkable, unprecedented and very crucial to the future of this beautiful state and by extension, our nation.

It is the involvement of young people in politics and Governance. I sat down recently and considered the rate at which GSM engages young people from all walks of life, regardless of political affliation and ethnic alliances.

Governor Seyi Makinde seems to have the understanding that THE FUTURE IS NOW and leaders should do all they can to give platform, leverages, opportunities and privileges to young people.

When Asiwaju Seun Fakorede, Victor Dideoluwa Lolade Ajibola, Kazeem Bolarinwa Ibadanpride, Lamide, Jesse and so many of the our friends got their appointment to serve at strategic offices during Omituntun 1.0, they were less than 30 years. Some of these young appointees are still less than 30 and they havev been reappointed to serve in Omituntun 2.0.

When I became the State Youth Leader of the PDP in Oyo State through the nomination and sponsorship of SEYI Makinde in 2021, I was less than 30 years and today, with the approval of the Governor, I am the Acting PRO of the Party in Oyo State.

There is no governor in the history of Oyo State who has given the Youths and Young Leaders the opportunity to serve and lead as much as Governor Seyi Makinde and thankfully, the youths of the State are solidly behind the Governor. 

The truth of the matter is that Governor Seyi Makinde is deliberately building the next generation of leaders and he is particular about giving us platform to showcase what we have and we have learnt.

I knew about the politics that played out in 2019 that led to many young persons getting the party ticket to contest for the State House of Assembly, without the approval and endorsement of Seyi Makinde, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin won't be sitting as the Youngest Speaker of a state legislature in Nigeria. He is even on his second tenure! 

From Party Politics to Strategic Offices in the State to his closest and personal aides to his kitchen cabinet, he is handing over to our generation the key to future leadership and helping us to build our capacity for future relevance.

I want to thank God for blessing the youths of my generation with a Youth Friendly Governor. A digital Governor, a future conscious leader and a leader per excellence!

With people like Governor Seyi Makinde, the future is very bright for young people and I pray that he will see his desires over our generation!
