Ibadan North Ward 1 Leaders, led by the Ward Chairman, Hon Yahaya Adetunji raise the hand of the Candidate, Hon (Mrs) Yetunde Folarin

The leaders, stakeholders and Excos of Ward 1, Ibadan North Local Government have unanimously agreed to back the People's Democratic Party anointed candidate, Hon. Yetunde Ayinke Folarin as the party flag bearer at the 2024 Local Government and Councillorship polls.

The meeting was held earlier today, Tuesday, 18th July, 2023 at a town hall sited in the Zone C area of the WARD. There, the other 6 aspirants who eyed that position unanimously agreed to step down for Hon. Yetunde Folarin. This group include the other Aspirant who purchased the nomination forms and was screened successfully, Hon. GBADEBO TAIWO ISMAILA.

The meeting was presided over by the Ward Chairman, Hon Mumini ADEMOLA and the party leader of the Ward, whose wife is also an Aspirant, Hon. Yahaya Adetunji. Stakeholders took their turns to give their blessing to THE CHOSEN ONE, someone who has a good antecedent and an indigene of the Ward, Hon. Yetunde Folarin. Her antecedents include being the Ward Registrar (in charge of the attendance) for over 3 years. She is also a staunch member of OMITUNTUN YOUTH MOVEMENT (OYM) who followed His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi MAKINDE through the 33 local governments during the OmiTuntun 2.0 Campaign.

Her tenacity, humility, sense of reasoning and compassion is second to none and she is such a popular individual amongst the Ward faithful. This was proven anytime she walks within the ward's environment, inhabitants hail her left, right & centre and also pray that she has a successful tenure more than ones who have come before her.

The meeting was concluded when the leader, Hon. Yahaya Adetunji prayed for the Candidate and the other Aspirants for their cooperation. Prayers was also held for the entire Ward, leaders, Excos, members while the Chairman gave the vote of thanks.
