As a result of the devastating explosion at Adeyi Avenue, Old Bodija Ibadan, the Special Assistant to Governor Seyi MAKINDE on Matters Concerning Ibadan North Federal Constituency, Hon. Julian Àríké NWACHUKWU has joined major Well-Wishers to sympathize with the Victims and their families after the unfortunate occurrence happened around 19:44 hours of Tuesday, 16th January, 2024.
The said Adeyi Avenue, Bodija is located within Ibadan North Local Government where Hon. Julian serves as the incumbent PDP Women Leader.
Expressing deep sorrow over the incident, Hon. Julian lamented the loss of lives and the injury of nearly scores of individuals in such explosion that took residents by surprise. She laid emphasis on the unforeseen nature of the tragedy and offered sympathies to those who are suddenly bereaved with the sudden loss of their loved ones.
In a message of plea to the community and environment, Hon. Julian urged residents to refrain from storing explosives in residential areas, highlighting the potential incalculable consequences such actions could bring.
Furthermore, she acknowledged the swift response by the State Government in reducing the impact of the situation, she shared her hopes for a swift recovery for the injured and prayed for the souls of the departed to rest in peace.
As investigations into the cause of the explosion unfold, the community remains in shock, grappling with the aftermath of this unexpected disaster.
Hon. Julian's response stands as a call for vigilance and community safety in the face of unforeseen tragedies.
Finally she prayed that the soul of the departed rest in perfect peace and that God grants the bereaved the fortitude to bear the loss. She also prayed for swift recovery for the injured.
