In a Press Statement released and signed by its President, Engr. Sunday Gbenjo Oyekanmi through the office of the PRO, ESV Toyeshe LAWAL, The foremost Social Club in Ibadan, ỌMỌ AJ'OROSUN SOCIAL CLUB has joined well-wishers to felicitate the Deputy Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency Barrister Abdulraheem Adebayo LAWAL on the conferment of the award of the "MOST OUTSTANDING FRIEND OF IBADAN".

The award is presented to the former Oyo State Commissioner of Justice by the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes, under the leadership of President General Barr. Ajeniyi AJEWOLE during the 2024 IBADAN WEEK.

In the Statement, the Club described the Deputy Governor as a True friend of Ibadan which is evident in the way he parades himself with guile and honour since he chose Ibadan to be his place of abode. Part of the statement read:


"Congratulations to the distinguished Deputy Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency, Chief Adebayo LAWAL on this monumental recognition by the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes as the MOST OUTSTANDING FRIEND OF IBADAN.

"His Excellency is a true friend of Ibadan. He has paid his dues. He has called Ibadan his home for decades, contributing to the development of the City. He has held a number of positions where he's served the Land of Ibadan with integrity and humility.

"Therefore we congratulate His Excellency the Deputy Governor on this monumental recognition." The statement read.
