HISTORIC MÓGÀJÍ RAAJI RAMONI'S INSTALLATION CEREMONY MARKS NEW CHAPTER FOR SADO FAMILY COMPOUND

In a grand display of tradition, culture, pomp and pageantry, Alhaji Raaji Ramoni Abiola was formally installed as the Mógàjí of SADO FAMILY COMPOUND, ODOYE, IBADAN, on Monday, 10th of February, 2024, marking a significant milestone in his journey towards becoming a revered traditional leader in Ibadanland.





The elaborate ceremony, which took place at the iconic Olubadan Palace in Oke-Aremo, Ibadan, was hosted by the Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty Oba Akinloye Olalere Owolabi Olakulehin (Ige Olakulehin I), the Paramount Ruler and Royal Father of the entire Ibadanland.







The event was attended by a coterie of distinguished dignitaries, including Alhaji Raaji Ramoni Abiola's wife, Alhaja Olori Asiat Modasola Raaji, and members of the prestigious and Foremost Ibadan Socio-Cultural Club, the Ọmọ Aj'orosun Club, led by the Club President, Engr. Sunday Gbenjo. The newly installed Mógàjí Raaji Ramoni Abiola is an esteemed Club member and is the current Financial Secretary of the Club.





Prominent guests, including The High Chiefs of the Olubadan, who are also beaded crowned Obas; Alhaji Akibu Alarape Animasahun, APC Chieftain Ibadan North Local Government; Alhaji Salidu Bello, Baba Adinni of Alabata; Mr. Isiaka Bello, Ward 10 Chairman - PDP Alabata; Oloye Wahab Oseni; Alhaji Azeez Rasidi; Alhaji Dauda Animasahun; Mr. Animasahun Teslim a.k.a Annytez, Chairman, Ireakari Estate, Oluyole Extension, Akala Expressway and ESV Chief Ogunsola Kunle (Osupa), added lustre to the occasion with their presence.



The installation ceremony, steeped in tradition and symbolism, marked a new chapter in the annals of SADO FAMILY COMPOUND. As Mógàjí, Alhaji Raaji Ramoni Abiola is poised to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of his community, upholding the values of leadership, wisdom, and compassion.





"I am deeply grateful to the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin (Ige Olakulehin I), my loving wife, Members of Ọmọ Aj'Orosun Club, the distinguished guests, and the entire SADO family for deeming me worthy of this esteemed position," Alhaji Raaji Ramoni Abiola remarked. 


"I pledge to carry on the good name of our family without blemish, and to defend the proud traditions of Ibadanland and Yorubaland as a whole. This is a sacred trust, and I am committed to upholding the values of our ancestors." He continued.



In a reception that followed at the SADO FAMILY Compound, guests were treated to a sumptuous feast, as they celebrated the dawn of a new era under the leadership of Alhaji Raaji Ramoni Abiola.
