“My Leader From Day One, I Celebrate You” – Hon. Julian Nwachukwu Celebrates Hon. Dada Awoleye on His Birthday

Birthdays often serve as milestones for reflection, celebration, and gratitude. For Hon. Abiodun Dada Awoleye, an accomplished politician and health sector administrator, this year’s birthday comes with waves of warm wishes from family, colleagues, mentees, and admirers across Oyo State and beyond.

Among those leading the chorus of celebration is Hon. Julian Àríké Nwachukwu, Special Assistant to Governor Seyi Makinde on Ibadan North Federal Constituency. In her heartfelt tribute, she described Hon. Awoleye as “my leader from day one.”

“My political journey with him began even before he became a legislator in 2007,” Hon. Julian recalled. “He has been a true leader, focused, deliberate, and always ready to carry his mentees along. He is not just someone who talks about principles; he lives them.”

Hon. Awoleye’s career is a testament to dedication and service. Beyond his present role as the Chairman of the Oyo State Primary Healthcare Board, where he oversees the affairs of 351 primary health centres across the state, he has worn many distinguished caps. From his days as a member of the Oyo State House of Assembly representing Ibadan North Constituency I, to serving two terms at the House of Representatives for Ibadan North Federal Constituency, and even leading as Caretaker Chairman of the PDP in Ogun State, his contributions have left indelible marks.

For many, his leadership style sets him apart. Hon. Julian praised him as a gentleman who is both approachable and visionary.

“He positions people for success and ensures they find their path in politics and in life. He is the kind of mentor who invests in people, and that is why so many of us celebrate him today,” she noted.

As she rounded off her message, Hon. Julian offered heartfelt prayers:

“May God bless him with long life, prosperity, sound health, and an ever-sound mind. May he continue to inspire us all.”

Indeed, the life of Hon. Abiodun Dada Awoleye is a story of service, leadership, and impact, one worth celebrating not just on his birthday, but every day.

The foremost monarch, who ascended the throne in July 2024, died in the early hours of Monday, July 7, 2025, after spending a year on the throne.  The demise of Oba Olakulehin, born July 5, 1935, is coming barely two days after celebrating his 90th birthday.  Oba Olakulehin received the staff of office from Oyo State Governor Engr.
