The Supervisor on Special Duties to the Ibadan North Local Government Chairman and Organizing Secretary of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Ibadan North, Hon. Adeagbo Adewunmi, has joined the growing list of well-wishers celebrating the birthday of Hon. Julian Arike Nwachukwu, the Special Assistant to Governor Seyi Makinde on Ibadan North Federal Constituency and Ex-Officio 1 of the PDP in Ibadan North.

Hon. Adeagbo, a seasoned party administrator and former Secretary of the PDP in Ibadan North, described Hon. Nwachukwu as “a woman who beautifully balances the demands of political office with the responsibilities of party leadership.”

In his words, “Hon. Arike is a rare gem - diligent, loyal, and dependable. She carries her dual roles with grace, proving that leadership is not about titles but about service and consistency. As S.A to the Governor and as our Ex-Officio 1, she has shown deep commitment to both governance and the party.”

Taking a reflective tone, Hon. Adeagbo reminisced on their shared journey within the PDP family in Ibadan North, describing her as “one of the few who never lose sight of the people even in positions of power.”

“I have known Arike through the thick and thin of party building. She is steadfast, focused, and passionate about our collective progress. You can always count on her in times that truly matter,” he said.

He prayed that God continues to bless Hon. Nwachukwu with strength, wisdom, and good health to keep serving humanity and contributing to the growth of the PDP and Oyo State at large.

“May her new age usher in greater accomplishments, divine favor, and lasting joy. Àjẹ́pẹ̀ ọmọ rere kì í sùn lórí apá àdán — a virtuous person’s light never goes dim. Arike’s light will continue to shine in Ibadan North and beyond,” he concluded.

According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred when a driver, allegedly passing through a one-way street, was pursued by police officers. The foremost monarch, who ascended the throne in July 2024, died in the early hours of Monday, July 7, 2025, after spending a year on the throne.  The demise of Oba Olakulehin, born July 5, 1935, is coming barely two days after celebrating his 90th birthday.  Oba Olakulehin received the staff of office from Oyo State Governor Engr.
