At 55, Pastor Solomon Olatunji Alatise Stands Tall in Grace, Legacy, and Gratitude || Samuel Toba-Olumide
There are birthdays, and then there are birthdays that invite reflection, gratitude, and collective celebration. Today is one of such days. As Pastor Solomon Olatunji Alatise marks his 55th birthday, it is only fitting that we pause; not just to celebrate the celebrant, but to honour the journey, the people, and the grace that have shaped the man we all celebrate today.
Born on December 21, 1970, in Lagos, though proudly rooted in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State, Pastor Alatise’s life has been one of early conviction and uncommon dedication. From his formative years at Eyinni High School, Orita Challenge, Ibadan (1988 set), it was clear that his path would be guided by purpose. That sense of calling soon found expression in theological training; first at Western Bible College, Iperu (1990), and later at Calvary International Bible College (1991–1993), where he formally deepened his grounding in theology.
But beyond certificates and classrooms lies the real story; obedience to the call. As far back as 1989, Pastor Alatise stepped fully into ministerial work under the tutelage of Rev. P. F. Owa, serving as a full-time pastor. That early surrender to service laid the foundation for decades of faithful labour in God’s vineyard; quietly consistent, deeply impactful, and rooted in sound doctrine.
Today, as a Full-Time Pastor at Christ Foundation Assembly (Inc.), Pastor Alatise’s ministry speaks not only through the pulpit, but through lives. Countless mentees and spiritual children, many of whom now stand as leaders, ministers, and responsible believers, rise today to celebrate a man who poured into them without reservation. His legacy is living, breathing, and multiplying.
No celebration of this nature is complete without acknowledging the strength behind the strength. Today, we also celebrate Dcns. Deborah Oluwawemimo Alatise, his wife, partner, and steadfast companion in ministry. Her support, sacrifice, and shared vision; alongside their wonderful children; remain an integral part of this journey. Ministry, after all, is never a solo assignment.
At 55, Pastor Solomon Olatunji Alatise represents more than age; he represents endurance, faithfulness, and divine consistency. His life reminds us that true impact is built over time, sustained by humility, and crowned with grace.
Today is worthy of celebration. And indeed, we celebrate; not just a birthday, but a life poured out in service to God and humanity.
Happy 55th Birthday, Pastor S.O. Alatise. May the years ahead be richer in grace, stronger in impact, and deeper in fulfilment.
