Birthday : Ibadan North Council Chairman, Olufade Felicitates "Ore Gomina", Hon. Yomi Olajide

The Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, has extended warm birthday felicitations to Hon. Yomi Olajide Royal Umbrella, popularly known as Ore Gomina, describing him as a dependable party stalwart and a committed supporter of grassroots development.

In a congratulatory message made available through his head of media, Aderibigbe Yisahu, Hon. Olufade expressed deep joy in celebrating the PDP loyalist, noting that his contributions to the growth and stability of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ibadan North remain commendable.

“I am very happy to celebrate Hon. Yomi Olajide, fondly called Ore Gomina, on this special day. His love and unwavering support towards me, his consistent loyalty to our great party, the PDP, and his passion for the progress of Ibadan North Local Government are deeply appreciated,” Olufade stated.

The council boss further praised Ore Gomina’s visible efforts in projecting the image of the PDP positively through mobilisation, advocacy, and steadfast commitment to party ideals, describing him as one of the pillars strengthening the party at the grassroots level.

According to Olufade, Ore Gomina, Hon. Yomi Olajide has continued to demonstrate uncommon dedication, loyalty, and resilience, qualities which have earned him respect among party faithful and stakeholders within Ibadan North and beyond.

Hon. Olufade also offered prayers for the celebrant, asking God to grant him long life, sound health, and prosperity.

“I pray that Almighty God, in His infinite mercy, blesses him with long, meaningful life, good health, wisdom, and abundant prosperity. May his days ahead be filled with greater achievements and fulfilment,” he added.

The Ibadan North Local Government chairman concluded by wishing Hon. Yomi Olajide many more years of impactful service to humanity, the PDP, and the development of Ibadan North Local Government.

The foremost monarch, who ascended the throne in July 2024, died in the early hours of Monday, July 7, 2025, after spending a year on the throne.  The demise of Oba Olakulehin, born July 5, 1935, is coming barely two days after celebrating his 90th birthday.  Oba Olakulehin received the staff of office from Oyo State Governor Engr.
