A PAINFUL LOSS TO THE POLITICAL FAMILY AND THE COMMUNITY

With deep sorrow and heavy hearts, members of the political family in Ibadan North and beyond received the shocking news of the sudden passing of Pastor Kolawole Akande, popularly known as Ororo-Jesu, a respected party member from Ward 4, Ibadan North Local Government. He departed this life in the early hours of today and was laid to rest at Sango Cemetery amidst tears, prayers, and heartfelt tributes from family, friends, political associates, and admirers.


His passing has left an irreplaceable vacuum, not only within his immediate family but also within the political landscape of Ibadan North, where he was widely known, loved, and respected for his unwavering loyalty, humility, and dedication.


A DISABILITY THAT NEVER DEFINED HIM

Although Pastor Kolawole Akande belonged to the disability community, he never allowed his physical condition to limit his impact on society. Instead, he became a shining example of resilience, courage, generosity, and selfless service.

He demonstrated that true greatness is measured not by physical ability but by strength of character, compassion for others, and commitment to worthy causes. His life inspired many who came in contact with him, proving that determination and purpose can overcome every limitation.


A LOYAL PARTY MAN UNTIL THE END

Ororo Jesu was more than an ordinary party member. He was one of the most committed and devoted grassroots mobilisers whose love for the party was unquestionable.

His commitment to both the APM/PDP political family was limitless. He remained steadfast through every season, always putting the interests of the party above personal comfort. His dedication earned him the admiration of leaders and members alike.

Such was his influence that prominent political figures and respected personalities never ignored his calls. Whenever Ororo-Jesu reached out, people listened; not because of political status or personal gain, but because they knew they were hearing from a sincere, honest, and dependable man.

His trademark enthusiasm was unforgettable. At every opportunity, he would proudly proclaim, "APM! Nigeria First!"; a slogan he carried with passion, pride, and infectious energy.


A HEART THAT SERVED OTHERS

Beyond politics, Pastor Kolawole Akande ORORO-JESU was remembered as a generous and compassionate individual.

Those who knew him recalled his habit of bringing refreshments and goodies to the party office simply to put smiles on people's faces. His generosity was spontaneous and heartfelt.

Many found his kindness even more inspiring because, despite living with a disability, he consistently chose to give rather than seek sympathy. His life became a lesson that true wealth lies in generosity of spirit.



TRIBUTES POUR IN

As news of his passing spread, tributes poured in from across the political divide, reflecting the remarkable life he lived and the countless lives he touched.

The Chairman of the PDP/APM in Ibadan North Local Government, Alhaji Comrade Mustapha, described Pastor Kolawole as someone who was "like a son" to him. Fighting back emotions, he spoke of Ororo-Jesu's exceptional loyalty, commitment, and unwavering dedication to the party, qualities that distinguished him throughout his lifetime.

The Member representing Ibadan North Constituency I in the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Olufunke Comforter Olajide, also paid glowing tribute to the departed party faithful. She recalled his uncommon commitment to the party and fondly remembered how he would enthusiastically call her while loudly declaring, "APM! Nigeria First!" His passion and unwavering support, she noted, will remain unforgettable.

The Member representing Ibadan North Federal Constituency, Hon. Fola DON, who hails from the same Ward 4 as the late Pastor Kolawole, also mourned his passing, describing it as a painful loss to the ward and the constituency.

The Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, praying that Almighty God grants the deceased eternal rest and gives the family the strength to bear the painful loss.

Equally emotional was the Special Assistant to Governor Seyi Makinde on Ibadan North Federal Constituency, Hon. Julian Nwachukwu, who described Ororo-Jesu as exceptionally loyal, committed, generous, and deeply devoted to humanity.

According to her,, Pastor Kolawole would often visit the party office bearing gifts for everyone present, regardless of status or position. His kindness inspired many, especially because he never allowed his disability to become an excuse for self-pity. Instead, he consistently demonstrated that generosity and service come from the heart.


A LEGACY THAT WILL ENDURE

The life of Pastor Kolawole Akande ORORO JESU reminds us that influence is not measured by wealth or position but by the number of lives touched through kindness, loyalty, and genuine service.

He served God faithfully. He served humanity wholeheartedly. He served his political family with uncommon dedication.

Though his voice has fallen silent, his legacy of commitment, humility, generosity, and unwavering loyalty will continue to inspire generations of party faithful and members of the community.

His sudden departure has indeed brought tears to many eyes, but the memories he leaves behind will forever remain in the hearts of those privileged to know him.

As family members, friends, political associates, and the entire Ibadan North community continue to mourn this painful loss, they also celebrate a life that was truly well lived.

May Almighty God forgive his shortcomings, grant him eternal rest, comfort everyone he has left behind, and give them the strength to bear this irreplaceable loss. He is survived by Mother, Siblings, Family Members, Church Members, Friends and Political Associates. His immediate elder brother, Pastor Akande was present at the burial site.
