PDP/APM Ibadan North Mourns Party Stalwart, Alhaji Rasheed Azeez Alabi (EGE), Suspends Weekly Meeting in His Honour

The leadership of the PDP/APM in Ibadan North Local Government has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of one of its stalwarts and leaders from Ward 1, Alhaji Rasheed Azeez Alabi, popularly known as EGE, who was laid to rest according to Islamic rites on Monday.

In a statement issued by the Chairman of the Party in Ibadan North Local Government, Alhaji Comrade S. Ademuyiwa Mustapha (COMRADE), the late Alhaji Rasheed was described as a loyal, dedicated, and highly respected party man whose commitment to the growth and progress of the party remained unwavering until his final days.

According to the Chairman, "Alhaji Rasheed Azeez Alabi, popularly known as EGE, was a dependable party stalwart and grassroots mobilizer who remained committed to the ideals and vision of our great party under the leadership of His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde. His dedication to party activities was exemplary, as he consistently attended meetings and functions at the ward, local government, and state levels."

The Chairman noted that the late EGE's contributions to the party and his enduring loyalty earned him the admiration and respect of members across Ibadan North Local Government and beyond.

"We have lost a committed leader and a true party man. His absence will be greatly felt by all who worked with him. At this difficult time, we pray that Almighty Allah forgives his shortcomings and grants him Aljanah Firdaus," the statement added.

As a mark of honour and respect for the departed stalwart, the leadership of the PDP/APM in Ibadan North Local Government announced the cancellation of the weekly party meeting scheduled to hold on Wednesday, 24th June, 2026.

The party leadership further extended its condolences to the family, friends, political associates, and all members of the party affected by the loss.

May the soul of Alhaji Rasheed Azeez Alabi (EGE) rest in perfect peace.
