The newly sworn in Lawmaker to represent Ibadan North Constituency 1 at the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Dr. OLUFUNKE COMFORTER ADENIYI-OLAJIDE has penned a heartfelt message of gratitude to friends, family and Well-Wishers after her swearing in/proclamation event that occured at the House of Chambers, Oyo State House of Assembly, Ibadan on the 14th of June, 2023.

Of course after the Inauguration Programme which has His Excellency, Governor Seyi MAKINDE as the Visitor, the Ibadan North Joint Inauguration Reception was held at Trans Amusement Park, Bodija, Ibadan.

In a message written and signed by the Lawmaker, she appreciates the Almighty God, The Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi MAKINDE and his able Deputy, Barr. Bayo Lawal and their respective spouses for believing in Women Inclusion that enabled her to contest and win by the grace of God, at the polls. The message read in part:

"Where do I begin from than to thank God Almighty for the privilege afforded me to be sworn in as the new Lawmaker to represent the good people of Ibadan North Constituency 1 at the 10th Oyo Assembly. It is only by his might and power.

"Appreciation goes to the Number 1 Citizen of my dear State, Oyo State, The Fogbontolu himself, His Excellency Engr Oluwaseyi Abiodun MAKINDE and his wife who is also our Mother, Engr. Mrs. Tamunominini Olufunke MAKINDE. They believe so much in women like me to make impact in the society and I am eternally grateful for this support. I extend my appreciation to our father, His Excellency, the Deputy Governor, Barr. Abdulraheem Adebayo LAWAL and his beautiful wife for their show of Support before, during the campaign and after victory at the polls.

"To my family members (related by blood and extended), I say Thank You for releasing me to fulfil my purpose of serving humanity. If it wasn't for your support, I might not be where I am today. May the Almighty God spare your lives to eat the fruits of your labour.

"To my colleagues in the 10th Assembly led by our vibrant Speaker who just made history by being the first person to lead 2 consecutive assemblies, Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin, I say Gratitude and I am sure that this Assembly shall be the best Oyo State has produced yet. To my Ibadan North Constituency 1 Aspirants, PDP Female Aspirants (The G-18) and fellow Female Lawmaker, Hon. Bisi Oluranti Oyewo-Michael BOOM, I say Thank You for the support and encouragement too.

"It will not be out of place to extend my gratitude to Otunba Seye Famojuro and his team. Using my local government Executive Chairman, Hon. Yusuf Sayib Oladayo ÀGBÀ EGBÉ, Ibadan North Party Chairman, Prince Morounfolu Seun Adelore, Engr. Daniel Ajuwon and Chief Mrs. Yemisi Ajuwon as points of contact to all the leaders and PDP party members in Ibadan North Local Government and most especially in my Constituency, I say a big 'THANK YOU' for your show of love and support. "Campaigns, Elections and Swearing-In have come and gone, it is time to get down to the business of giving due representation to my beloved Constituency which goes along with bringing the dividends of democracy to its doorstep and as I solemnly swore and signed, I believe the Almighty God will strengthen me not to disappoint the good people of Ibadan North Constituency 1.

"I accept this role with all sense of duty and humility, So help me God. Once again, I say THANK YOU to all. May this dispensation bring ease on all sides to us all. Amen"
