The Education Secretary of Ibadan North Local Government, Oyo State, Hon. Adebusola Adejoke ADEWUMI joined in celebrating Teachers all round the world on the World Teacher's Day which is celebrated every 5th of October.

The Administrator who herself is a seasoned and experienced teacher referred to her profession as a noble one which should be celebrated every now and then.

In her words, she said: "To all teachers in the World, Africa, Nigeria, Oyo State and Ibadan North specifically, I wish us all a Happy Teacher's Day!

"Your dedication, guidance, and unwavering support have helped shaped many lives. Thank you for your tireless efforts which help nurture and lead many children/wards aright. May you be blessed exceedingly.

"I will implore us to please continue to develop the Leaders of tomorrow in the right way. Your impact is immeasurable, and your influence is everlasting. Congratulations. Happy Teacher's Day and May God bless all Teachers", she concluded.

Just In: (Pictorial) Tragedy Strikes Ibadan || Police Stray Bullet Claims Life of 17-Year-Old Student Published by Samuel Toba-Olumide   Ibadan, Oyo State - A somber mood has engulfed the Alakia-Welfare-Airport Ibadan community following a tragic incident on Airport Road, Alakia, where a 17-year-old student lost his life in a hail of bullets fired by police officers. According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred when a driver, allegedly passing through a one-way street, was pursued by police officers. In the ensuing chase, the officers opened fire, and a stray bullet struck another vehicle carrying the teenager, who was on his way to school to sit for a WAEC exam. The foremost monarch, who ascended the throne in July 2024, died in the early hours of Monday, July 7, 2025, after spending a year on the throne.  The demise of Oba Olakulehin, born July 5, 1935, is coming barely two days after celebrating his 90th birthday.  Oba Olakulehin received the staff of office from Oyo State Governor Engr.
