OLUBADAN'S DEATH: ỌMỌ AJ'OROSUN EULOGIZES LATE KING, PAYS CONDOLENCE VISIT TO THE FAMILY AT THE ALARERE RESIDENCE OF THE LATE KING

The foremost Social Club in Ibadan, ỌMỌ AJ'OROSUN CLUB, Total Garden, Ibadan has commiserated with the Governor Seyi MAKINDE, Oyo State Traditional Council, the Olubadan-In-Council, the Olubadan's Immediate Family and the illustrious Sons and Daughters of Ibadanland over the recent demise of His Imperial Majesty, Oba Sen. Dr. Mohood Olalekan Ishola Balogun Alli-Okunmade II which sad event occurred in the late hours of Thursday, 14th March, 2024.

OLUBADAN, OBA MOHOOD LEKAN BALOGUN DIES AT 81

Earlier today, some Members represented the whole Club by proceeding on a Condolence Visit to the Alarere Home of the late Monarch in order to pay their respects on behalf of the whole Club.

The entourage was received by the Immediate Past Senator of Oyo South Senatorial district, Senator Mohammed Kola BALOGUN, who himself is a younger brother of the deceased.

In his remarks while signing the Condolence register, the Acting President of Ọmọ Aj'Orosun Club, who of course led the team to the palace, Mógàjí Moshood Gbolagade Akere, said Kábíyèsí's death came as a rude shock to everyone. He claimed Baba was hale & hearty and he even recently celebrated his 2nd Coronation Anniversary on the day that the Ramadan Fast began, losing him just 3 days after was a rude shock indeed. His message read in part:

"Our late father, the Kábíyèsí Oba Lekan Balogun was a father to us all. He was cool, calm and collected and Ibadan really made huge progress under his watch. His transition at this time really came at a time we need his fatherly and royal guidance the most and we have no other option than to accept fate as it's been dished out to us.

"We pray that the Almighty grant a repose of his soul and may God be with the family and kingdom he left behind. We, as an association, were known with Baba in his lifetime and we can only pray that His soul rest in Peace."

Senator Kola Balogun who received the entourage appreciated the visit by the social club and he claimed that the family will still continue to be identified with the Ọmọ Aj'Orosun Social Club.
