MAY 29: Aare-Latosa Political Head, Akeem Ayoade Celebrates The Political Generalissimo, Gov Seyi Makinde On 6th Year Of Exemplary Leadership

The exemplary leadership style of His Excellency, Gov Seyi Makinde FNSE, Dsc, GSSRS has been celebrated and descrbed as "incredible and unassuming", on the 6th year of his administration as the Executive Governor of Oyo State.

This was contained in a goodwill message from the office of the Political Head Administrator of Aare Latosa LCDA, Hon Ayoade Akeem Adewale while celebrating the long lasting legacies, commitment to redefining good governance through impactful and people welfare based policies of His Excellency 

Ayoade acknowledged the efforts of His Excellency at making life more comfortable and bearable for people in the State through his laudable programmes and projects, aimed at alleviating suffering of the people and ameliorating the living standards.

He also stressed that "with the quality of leadership traits displayed by His Excellency, Oyo State is witnessing great and tremendous development adding that, infrastructural development, wooing and partnering great foreign investors are adding more value and transmitting the State to the world..

The Council boss added that Oyo State has continued being a pacesetter in all sectors under the leadership of His Excellency, Gov Seyi Makinde, FNSE, Dsc, GSSRS stating that, his relentless efforts, people oriented policies and hightened mindset for development and progress of the State, pay off.

He then prayed God grants His Excellency more wisdom, grace, sound health and wellness to fulfill all his dreams and accomplish all his mission in life, in tandem to take Oyo State to an enviable height.

According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred when a driver, allegedly passing through a one-way street, was pursued by police officers. The foremost monarch, who ascended the throne in July 2024, died in the early hours of Monday, July 7, 2025, after spending a year on the throne.  The demise of Oba Olakulehin, born July 5, 1935, is coming barely two days after celebrating his 90th birthday.  Oba Olakulehin received the staff of office from Oyo State Governor Engr.
