The Oke-Ogun Polytechnic Unions (SSANIP & NASU) Laud Gov. Makinde's Council Appointment, Pledge Support

The Senior Staff Association of Nigeria Polytechnic, (SSANIP) and Non-Academic Staff Union (NASU) of The Oke-Ogun Polytechnic, Saki (TOPS) chapter has commended His Excellency Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State for constituting Governing Councils for all State-Owned tertiary Institutions, including our great Institution, TOPS.

The Two Unions, Senior Staff Association of Nigeria Polytechnic, (SSANIP) and Non-Academic Staff Union (NASU) expressed our gratitude to His Excellency Governor Makinde over the timely constitution and inauguration of New Governing Council for the institution to move forward the institution to greater heights.

The Joint Union Senior Staff Association of Nigeria Polytechnic, (SSANIP) and Non-Academic Staff Union (NASU) welcomed the newly constituted Governing Council, led by Dr. Bisi Ojebola, to TOPS, and wishing them a transformative and successful tenure of office.

The joint Union SSANIP and NASU write this letter through the Leadership Chairmen and Secretaries (Comrade Oke O.O, Comrade Muhammed O., Comrade Olagbenro A.J, Comrade Badru), wishes to express our sincere gratitude to you for the timely constitution and inauguration of New Governing Councils for all the tertiary institutions in Oyo State, including our great Institution TOPS:

“Your Excellency Sir, we are graciously happy for this inauguration, May God in his mercy grant you a happy ending of your administration.

“His Excellency, we appreciate your efforts in education, infrastructure, and healthcare. Your initiatives have positively impacted our state.

“Thank you for your support. Your leadership has been instrumental in its success.

“Overall, Governor Makinde's efforts have improved the lives of Oyo State residents, and he has been praised for his commitment to workers' welfare, infrastructure development, and social welfare programs.

“Additionally, the two unions SSANIP and NASU are using this medium to welcome the Governing Council headed by Dr. Bisi Ojebola and other distinguished members; Mrs. Mojisola Oluwafunmilayo Ajayi, Mrs. Bose Morakinyo, Adeyanju Noah Olusola, Hon. Olajide Olusina Olatoye, and Mr. Mudasir Niyi Salam. 

"We wish them a successful tenure in office and pray that God Almighty will lead and grant them the required wisdom to uplift The Oke-Ogun Polytechnic, Saki to the promised land.” The statement read.

The foremost monarch, who ascended the throne in July 2024, died in the early hours of Monday, July 7, 2025, after spending a year on the throne.  The demise of Oba Olakulehin, born July 5, 1935, is coming barely two days after celebrating his 90th birthday.  Oba Olakulehin received the staff of office from Oyo State Governor Engr.
