"Eid-el-Kabir: A Celebration of Sacrifice and Unity" - Aare-Latosa LCDA Political Head, Hon. Akeem Ayoade felicitates Muslims Worldwide

It's the Eid-el-Kabir Season and Hon. Akeem Adewale Ayoade, the Vice Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government who also doubles as the Political Head of Aare-Latosa LCDA, extends warm felicitations to the good people of Ibadan North local government. This joyous occasion is a time for reflection, gratitude, and sacrifice, reminding us of the importance of community and our responsibility to one another.

"The spirit of Eid-el-Kabir teaches us the value of sacrifice and compassion," Hon. Akeem Adewale Ayoade said. "As we commemorate Prophet Ibrahim's willingness to sacrifice his son, we are reminded of the importance of putting the needs of others before our own."

In today's world, where individualism and selfishness often seem to prevail, the lessons of Eid-el-Kabir are more relevant than ever. As members of the Ibadan North community, we are called to be our brothers' keepers, to look out for one another, and to support those in need.

"We must strive to create a society where the vulnerable are protected, and the needy are cared for," Hon. Akeem Adewale Ayoade emphasized. "By doing so, we build a stronger, more resilient community, where everyone has the opportunity to thrive."

As we celebrate Eid-el-Kabir, let us remember the importance of empathy, kindness, and generosity. Let us use this occasion to reflect on our actions and to renew our commitment to one another. By embracing the values of sacrifice and community, we can build a brighter future for ourselves and for generations to come.

Just In: (Pictorial) Tragedy Strikes Ibadan || Police Stray Bullet Claims Life of 17-Year-Old Student Published by Samuel Toba-Olumide   Ibadan, Oyo State - A somber mood has engulfed the Alakia-Welfare-Airport Ibadan community following a tragic incident on Airport Road, Alakia, where a 17-year-old student lost his life in a hail of bullets fired by police officers. According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred when a driver, allegedly passing through a one-way street, was pursued by police officers. In the ensuing chase, the officers opened fire, and a stray bullet struck another vehicle carrying the teenager, who was on his way to school to sit for a WAEC exam. The foremost monarch, who ascended the throne in July 2024, died in the early hours of Monday, July 7, 2025, after spending a year on the throne.  The demise of Oba Olakulehin, born July 5, 1935, is coming barely two days after celebrating his 90th birthday.  Oba Olakulehin received the staff of office from Oyo State Governor Engr.
