Today, June 12, 2025, is a momentous occasion in Nigeria's history. As we commemorate 26 years of uninterrupted democracy, I, Hon. Akeem Adewale Ayoade, Vice Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government and Political Head of Aare-Latosa LCDA, extend warm felicitations to all Nigerians.

"Time has brought us to this momentous occasion, where we celebrate the growth and resilience of our democracy," Hon. Ayoade said. "Since 1999, we've enjoyed uninterrupted democracy, and it's an opportunity to pray for its continued growth and prosperity."

As we mark this milestone, Hon. Ayoade emphasized the importance of enjoying the dividends of democracy at all levels. "We pray that the benefits of democracy be felt by all, from the federal level to the state and local government levels," he added.

This year also marks a significant milestone for Hon. Ayoade, as it's his first year in office as Vice Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, working alongside the Executive Chairman, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade Onala. "I'm committed to working with the Chairman and other stakeholders to ensure that the good people of Ibadan North enjoy the dividends of democracy," Hon. Ayoade said.

As Nigerians celebrate this remarkable achievement, Hon. Ayoade urged everyone to continue to work towards the growth and prosperity of our democracy. "May we celebrate many more years of democracy in peace, unity, and prosperity," he added.

Happy Democracy Day 2025!
