Ward 4 Ibadan North Goes Agog as Legislative Arm Leader and Ward 4 Councillor, Hon. Taiwo Adebola, Empowers Ward 4 Residents as she Splashes Millions and Gains Moral Support from LG Leaders

In a heartwarming display of community support and in the Spirit of the forthcoming Ileya Festival, Hon. Taiwo Shakirat Adebola the Councillor of Ward 4, Ibadan North Local Government, and Leader of the Legislative Arm, empowered about 150 residents of her ward with N10,000 each. 



This gesture demonstrates the commitment of Honorable Taiwo Adebola improving the lives of their constituents as exemplified by the gesture of His Excellency Gov. Seyi Makinde which is also demonstrated by Ibadan North Council Chairman, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade. The empowerment program aims to provide financial support and alleviate economic hardships in Ward 4, Ibadan North Local Government and its environs.



The event, which took place on Sunday, June 1st, 2025 at the Ward 4 PDP meeting location, attracted prominent attendees, including:

The event was hosted by Prince Tope, The Chairman of the PDP in Ward 4, Ibadan North, and the distribution was overseen by The Party Vice, Comrade Ademuyiwa Mustapha.

Honorable Taiwo Adebola distributed N10,000 each to 140 individuals, totaling N1.4 million amongst other gift items shared. The distribution went across different caucuses and groups ranging from the Elders, to the ExCos, to the Leader, to Zones and members in Ward 4 and some other caucuses which spread across Ibadan North Local Government.




Additionally, Hon. Olusoji Alade SOJ, the Social Secretary of the Prestigious Ọmọ Aj'Orosun Club, contributed N100,000, which will be shared among 10 other persons (as empowerment) and an additional N50,000 to be shared amongst the rest of the Ward 4 Faithfuls, bringing the total to N150,000. The S.A to the Governor, who is also the PDP Women Leader in Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Julian Nwachukwu also donated the sum of N40,000 to the women of the Ward as her own quota at the Empowerment Programme.

The Honourable Councillors present, Hon. Seye Adepoju and Hon. Habeeb Alayande of Wards 8 and 10 respectively also supported with N25,000 each totalling N50,000 while Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle DON, the Deputy Chief of Staff to Oyo State Governor also made a contribution of 100,000 to the Ward.





Furthermore, The Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government pledged to construct another BoreHole facility in the Ward as requested by their Councillor and in appreciation of her well-done job.

The empowerment program organized by Hon Taiwo Adebola is a testament to her dedication to the welfare of her constituents. The event's success is a result of the collaborative efforts of the Ibadan North Local Government leadership and the PDP Ward 4 executives.

The foremost monarch, who ascended the throne in July 2024, died in the early hours of Monday, July 7, 2025, after spending a year on the throne.  The demise of Oba Olakulehin, born July 5, 1935, is coming barely two days after celebrating his 90th birthday.  Oba Olakulehin received the staff of office from Oyo State Governor Engr.
