Birthday: "Leader Of High Repute" — Olufade Celebrates Baba Ismaila Ashipa

The Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, has joined family members, political associates, and well-wishers to celebrate a revered statesman and outstanding PDP chieftain, Baba Ismaila Ashipa, on the joyous occasion of his birthday.

In his message made available through his head of media, Aderibigbe Yisahu, Olufade expressed heartfelt happiness at celebrating a man he described as one of the finest political elders and father figures Ibadan North has ever produced. 

According to him, Ibadan North Federal Constituency, Ibadan North Local Government, and Oyo State as a whole are truly lucky and blessed to have a leader endowed with such uncommon wisdom, integrity, and steadfast commitment.

He praised Baba Ashipa’s exceptional role in holding the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) firmly and united in Ibadan North, noting that his deep political experience and strategic guidance have continued to uplift, stabilize, and strengthen party activities across the local government.

“Baba Ashipa is a leader of high repute, respected across Oyo State for his clarity of thought, wealth of experience, and fatherly disposition,” Hon. Olufade said.

“His invaluable contributions have shaped our party positively, and his wisdom has been instrumental in driving progress within Ibadan North.”

Hon. Olufade further appreciated Baba Ashipa’s consistent dedication to mentoring younger leaders and providing direction at crucial moments, describing him as a pillar whose influence continues to inspire unity and growth within the party.

While offering warm prayers, the council chairman asked God to grant Baba Ismaila Ashipa many more celebrations in good health, peace, and long life.

“As you mark another year, Baba, my prayer is that God enriches your life with sound health and longevity. 

May you continue to witness more fulfilling birthdays and remain a shining example of leadership for generations to come,” he prayed.

He concluded by reaffirming his joy in celebrating Baba Ashipa and acknowledging the privilege of benefitting from his guidance and fatherly wisdom.

The foremost monarch, who ascended the throne in July 2024, died in the early hours of Monday, July 7, 2025, after spending a year on the throne.  The demise of Oba Olakulehin, born July 5, 1935, is coming barely two days after celebrating his 90th birthday.  Oba Olakulehin received the staff of office from Oyo State Governor Engr.
