The city of Ibadan will erupt with excitement tomorrow as DJ Scopeman launches the Fourth Edition of SLIC: The Sound That Controls the City, the entertainment show that has consistently raised the bar since its first, second, and third editions.

Happening at Mauve 21, the high-energy event will open its doors by 5PM, leading guests into an all-night display of talent, culture, sound, and nightlife thrill — the type only DJ Scopeman can curate.

Headlined by street music icon Oritse Femi, supported by stars like Temkeys, Keanzo, Olalakeside, and complemented by DJs such as 4Kerty, Mafdee, Lollypop, Khoded, the concert promises a powerful mix of vibes.

Comedy lovers will enjoy first-class humor from Dr. Smile, Ozain, Dele Omo Woli, and Mc Taichi.

With red-carpet glam powered by Blessing (Afrobeats in the Street), Edwin Paul, Kahuna, and Tall Mariam, guests are guaranteed a premium experience from arrival to the final moment of the show.

Just In: (Pictorial) Tragedy Strikes Ibadan || Police Stray Bullet Claims Life of 17-Year-Old Student Published by Samuel Toba-Olumide   Ibadan, Oyo State - A somber mood has engulfed the Alakia-Welfare-Airport Ibadan community following a tragic incident on Airport Road, Alakia, where a 17-year-old student lost his life in a hail of bullets fired by police officers. According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred when a driver, allegedly passing through a one-way street, was pursued by police officers. In the ensuing chase, the officers opened fire, and a stray bullet struck another vehicle carrying the teenager, who was on his way to school to sit for a WAEC exam. The foremost monarch, who ascended the throne in July 2024, died in the early hours of Monday, July 7, 2025, after spending a year on the throne.  The demise of Oba Olakulehin, born July 5, 1935, is coming barely two days after celebrating his 90th birthday.  Oba Olakulehin received the staff of office from Oyo State Governor Engr.
