Hon. Julian Arike Nwachukwu, the Special Assistant to the Governor of Oyo State on Ibadan North Federal Constituency, has heaped glowing praise on her principal, Governor Seyi Makinde, following what many are now describing as one of the most iconic and flawlessly executed political conventions in the history of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Hon. Julian Arike Nwachukwu, the Ex-Officio 1 of the PDP in Ibadan North Local Government, in her heartfelt commendation, celebrated Governor Makinde for delivering a “masterclass in political organisation,” as Ibadan hosted the 2025 PDP National Convention with unmatched elegance, precision, and national impact.

According to Hon. Julian Nwachukwu, the 2025 PDP Convention was not merely an event; it was a statement of capability, confidence, and leadership, all of which were embodied by Governor Makinde’s coordination.

She described the Governor as “a visionary leader who continues to elevate Oyo State to unprecedented heights through his foresight, calm strength, and exceptional organisational abilities.”

“What His Excellency delivered in Ibadan was far above a political gathering; it was a landmark achievement and a global-standard demonstration of what true leadership looks like,” she said.

Hon. Julian Nwachukwu noted that under Makinde’s guidance, Ibadan shone brightly as the political nerve centre of the nation, successfully hosting thousands of delegates, party elders, and national figures without a single hitch.

She emphasised that the seamless logistics, security, hospitality, and coordination experienced at the convention were clear projections of Makinde’s leadership identity-orderly, strategic, people-driven, and excellence-focused.

Hon. Julian Nwachukwu, an erstwhile 2 term Woman Leader in Ibadan North, also extended warm congratulations to the newly elected PDP National Working Committee led by Dr. Kabiru Tanimu Turaki, SAN, describing his emergence as timely and reassuring for the party’s future.

She lauded the new Chairman as a seasoned statesman whose depth, discipline, and bridge-building qualities would strengthen internal cohesion and restore broader confidence in the party’s national structure.

“Dr. Turaki represents stability, wisdom, and progressive leadership. With him at the helm, I am confident that the PDP is stepping into a renewed era of unity and purposeful direction,” she stated.

Hon. Nwachukwu expressed full confidence in the NWC’s ability to consolidate the party’s gains, rebuild critical structures across the federation, and steer the PDP toward victory in future elections.

She further highlighted that the success of the convention has once again positioned Oyo State, under Governor Makinde, as a dependable pillar of progressive politics in Nigeria.

According to her, the peaceful, colourful, and orderly conduct of the convention has elevated Ibadan as the preferred national destination for major political engagements.

“Governor Makinde’s brilliance continues to make excellence look natural. His leadership is not only transforming Oyo State but also shaping the national political landscape with dignity and innovation,” Hon. Nwachukwu added.

In her concluding remarks, Hon. Julian Nwachukwu thanked all delegates, stakeholders, and party faithful who contributed to the historic success of the convention.

She described the moment as a fresh beginning for the PDP, powered by Makinde’s impeccable leadership and strengthened by Dr. Turaki’s emergence.

She called on party members nationwide to ride on the momentum generated in Ibadan and work collectively toward rebuilding a stronger, more united PDP.
