Birthday: Hon. Soji Alade SOJ Felicitates Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde at 58 || Extends Christmas Message of Love to Christians

Hon. Olusoji Olusegun Alade (Hon. SOJ) has joined well-wishers across Oyo State and beyond to warmly felicitate the Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency Engr. Seyi Makinde, FNSE, on the occasion of his 58th birthday, celebrated today, December 25th.

Describing Governor Makinde as a visionary leader and a blessing to Oyo State, Hon. SOJ commended the governor’s unwavering commitment to good governance, infrastructural development, people-centred policies, and inclusive leadership. He noted that the coincidence of the governor’s birthday with Christmas Day is symbolic, reflecting values of service, sacrifice, and love that continue to define his administration.


According to Hon. SOJ, Governor Makinde’s leadership has remained a source of inspiration to many within and outside the political space, particularly for his courage, consistency, and dedication to the progress and unity of Oyo State.

While felicitating the governor, Hon. SOJ also used the occasion to extend heartfelt Christmas greetings to Christians across Ibadan North, Oyo State, Nigeria, and the world at large. He described Christmas as a season that calls for reflection, compassion, forgiveness, and love for one another.


He urged Christians to embrace the true essence of the celebration by spreading peace, supporting the less privileged, and strengthening communal bonds. Hon. SOJ emphasized that love remains the strongest force for unity and development, especially in challenging times.

As families and communities come together to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, Hon. SOJ prayed for renewed hope, joy, good health, and prosperity for all, while wishing Governor Seyi Makinde many more years of impactful service, sound health, and divine wisdom.

He concluded by reaffirming his commitment to community service, peaceful coexistence, and the collective progress of Ibadan North and Oyo State as a whole.

The foremost monarch, who ascended the throne in July 2024, died in the early hours of Monday, July 7, 2025, after spending a year on the throne.  The demise of Oba Olakulehin, born July 5, 1935, is coming barely two days after celebrating his 90th birthday.  Oba Olakulehin received the staff of office from Oyo State Governor Engr.
