Following the outpouring of goodwill that marked his birthday, a respected Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stakeholder from Ward 9, Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Yisah Mohammed Bright, fondly known as Hon. Bright, has expressed heartfelt appreciation to leaders, party faithful, friends, and family who celebrated him.
In a message shared via his media team, Hon. Bright described the love he received as overwhelming and deeply humbling, noting that the gestures reaffirmed his commitment to service, loyalty, and grassroots politics.
“I am sincerely grateful to God for life and for surrounding me with people who genuinely care. The prayers, calls, visits, messages, and surprises I received have further strengthened my resolve to remain steadfast and useful to my party and my people,” Hon. Bright said.
He specially appreciated the Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, whom he described as a dependable leader and a rallying point for progress within the local government.
“I remain thankful to my Chairman, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, for his consistent leadership, encouragement, and inclusive style of governance that continues to inspire many of us,” he added.
Hon. Bright also extended profound gratitude to the Member representing Ibadan North Federal Constituency, Hon. Fola Oyekunle (Don), acknowledging his political mentorship and unwavering support.
“Hon. Fola Oyekunle Don has continued to show what purposeful representation and true leadership mean. I appreciate his support and the inspiration he gives to stakeholders like us,” he noted.
He equally appreciated Hon. Julian Nwachukwu, Special Adviser to the Oyo State Governor on Ibadan North Federal Constituency, for his goodwill and solidarity, as well as the Ibadan North PDP Local Government Executives for standing firmly with him.
Special mention was made of the Ward 9 PDP Chairman, the Ward 9 PDP leaders, and notable party elders and stakeholders including Hon. Olajide (Royal Umbrella), Hon. Jossy, Hon. Oshoniyi, and many others for their leadership, prayers, and show of unity.
Hon. Bright also applauded Team Don for their collective support and comradeship, describing them as “a family bonded by purpose and progress.”
In the same vein, he expressed appreciation to the Ogbomosho South Secretary, Omo-Ose-Paro, the PDP Local Government Youth Leader for the pleasant birthday surprise, and the Local Government Women Leader for her prayers and support.
The celebrant further acknowledged Ibadan North political appointees who identified with him, including Supervisor Adewumi, S.A Obama, and S.A Sedorado, commending their camaraderie and goodwill.
He concluded by thanking his friends and family, as well as “my good people of Ibadan North Local Government, both at home and in the diaspora,” for their unwavering love and encouragement.
“I do not take any of these gestures for granted. I remain committed to the ideals of the PDP and to the collective growth of Ibadan North. Together, we will continue to move forward,” Hon. Bright assured.
The birthday celebration, though modest, once again highlighted Hon. Bright’s strong grassroots connection and the wide respect he enjoys across party lines within Ibadan North.
