"A Heart Filled With Gratitude: My Birthday Appreciation Message || Hon. Akeem Adewale Ayoade

With a heart overflowing with gratitude and humility, I wish to sincerely appreciate everyone who celebrated with me, prayed for me, and extended warm wishes on the occasion of my birthday on the 13th of February, 2026.

This year’s celebration was deeply meaningful as I marked the special day in the company of the wonderful children at HOPE ORPHANAGE HOME — an experience that reminded me of the true essence of service, compassion, and shared humanity. I am thankful to God for the gift of life and for the grace to continually serve my people.

My profound appreciation goes first to my leader, mentor, and boss, the Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade ONALA, for his unwavering support, guidance, and kind birthday wishes. Your leadership continues to inspire many of us in public service.

I also extend my heartfelt gratitude to the leadership of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Ibadan North Local Government and Ward 2, from the executives to the leaders, for your consistent encouragement and solidarity.

As I begin another year, I renew my commitment to selfless service, unity, and the progress of our people.

Just In: (Pictorial) Tragedy Strikes Ibadan || Police Stray Bullet Claims Life of 17-Year-Old Student Published by Samuel Toba-Olumide   Ibadan, Oyo State - A somber mood has engulfed the Alakia-Welfare-Airport Ibadan community following a tragic incident on Airport Road, Alakia, where a 17-year-old student lost his life in a hail of bullets fired by police officers. According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred when a driver, allegedly passing through a one-way street, was pursued by police officers. In the ensuing chase, the officers opened fire, and a stray bullet struck another vehicle carrying the teenager, who was on his way to school to sit for a WAEC exam. The foremost monarch, who ascended the throne in July 2024, died in the early hours of Monday, July 7, 2025, after spending a year on the throne.  The demise of Oba Olakulehin, born July 5, 1935, is coming barely two days after celebrating his 90th birthday.  Oba Olakulehin received the staff of office from Oyo State Governor Engr.
