Eid-el-Fitr: Oyo PDP Chairmen Felicitate Makinde, Party Leaders, Express Hope for Unity and 2027 Victory

The Forum of Local Government Chairmen of the Peoples Democratic Party in Oyo State, under the leadership of the Chairman of Chairmen, Chief Femi Falowo, has extended warm Eid-el-Fitr greetings to the Executive Governor of the state, Seyi Makinde, the State PDP Chairman, Hon. Dayo Ogungbenro, and the entire PDP family across the state.

In a statement released to commemorate the successful completion of the 2026 Ramadan fast, the Forum described the holy period as one of deep reflection, sacrifice, and renewed hope for both the party and the nation at large.

According to the Chairman of Chairmen, Chief Femi Falowo, this year’s Ramadan has rekindled strong optimism that the challenges confronting the PDP, both in Oyo State and across Nigeria, will ultimately give way to victory and stability.

"This year’s Ramadan has strengthened our collective faith that all will be well within our great party, not only in Oyo State but across Nigeria. We are confident that all supplications rendered to Almighty Allah during this sacred period shall be answered; in our personal lives, professional engagements, and in the affairs of our party,” Falowo stated.

He further emphasized that unity within the PDP, particularly at the national level, must remain sacrosanct and non-negotiable, noting that only a united party can effectively reclaim its dominance on the national stage.

"The unity of our party at the center is non-negotiable. As we look ahead, we are resolute in our belief that the PDP will emerge victorious in the 2027 general elections; from the Presidential and National Assembly polls to Governorship, State Assembly, and Local Government elections. It shall indeed be a year of harvest for us all,” he added.

Also lending his voice, the Forum’s Public Relations Officer, Akinlolu Oladeni Olugbade, echoed similar sentiments, stressing the importance of sustaining the spiritual gains of Ramadan in the party’s political journey.

"Ramadan has taught us patience, discipline, and unity of purpose. These are the very values the PDP needs at this critical time. We believe strongly that the prayers offered during the fasting period will translate into tangible victories for our party. We urge all members to remain steadfast, committed, and united as we move towards 2027,” Olugbade said.

The Forum concluded by wishing all Muslim faithful a joyous Eid celebration, praying for continued peace, prosperity, and the grace to witness many more celebrations in good health.

"Barka de Sallah to all our Muslim brothers and sisters. May we celebrate many more in peace, joy, and abundance,” the statement concluded.
