The Councillor representing Ward 5 in Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Ajayi Hammed Olamilekan, popularly known as Solution, has extended warm felicitations to Muslim faithful across his ward and beyond on the successful completion of the 2026 Ramadan fast.

Ramadan, a sacred period marked by devotion, sacrifice, and compassion, witnessed an outpouring of generosity and people-centered initiatives from the councillor, further reinforcing his reputation as a grassroots leader committed to the welfare of his constituents.

Throughout the holy month, Hon. Hammed maintained close contact with residents of Ward 5, reaching out through various support initiatives aimed at easing the economic realities often associated with the fasting period. His most notable intervention came during the Ward 5 PDP Meeting held last Friday, where he distributed scores of branded Ramadan palliatives alongside cash support running into hundreds of thousands of naira.

The gesture, according to beneficiaries, was timely and impactful, helping many families meet essential needs during the fasting period. Importantly, the initiative was not limited to party faithful alone. Ward executives, leaders, and other stakeholders were also beneficiaries, reflecting an inclusive approach to leadership.

The Ramadan activities culminated in a well-attended Special Iftar hosted by the councillor, bringing together party members, community leaders, and residents in an atmosphere of unity, gratitude, and shared purpose.

Speaking at the Iftar, Hon. Ajayi Hammed expressed appreciation to Almighty Allah for granting the grace to witness and complete the holy month, while reaffirming his commitment to service:

"Ramadan teaches us sacrifice, love, and compassion for one another. As a representative of the people, it is my responsibility to stand by my constituents, especially during periods like this. I am grateful for the support and unity we continue to enjoy in Ward 5, and I assure you that this is just the beginning of greater things to come.”

He further urged residents to sustain the virtues imbibed during Ramadan, emphasizing peace, tolerance, and community development.

Members of the ward also took turns to commend the councillor for his consistent outreach and dedication. Ward 5 PDP Secretary, Com. Okanlawon Lookman, lauded Hon. Hammed’s leadership style:

"Hon. Hammed has shown that leadership is about people. Even beyond Ramadan, he has remained accessible and supportive. What he did during this fasting period is commendable, and we are proud to have him as our councillor.”

Similarly, a party member, expressed her gratitude:

"The palliatives and cash support came at a very important time for many of us. Hon. Hammed did not just remember party members; he extended kindness to the entire ward. May God continue to bless and strengthen him.”

The Ramadan outreach and successful Iftar event have further solidified Hon. Ajayi Hammed Olamilekan’s standing as a compassionate and proactive leader in Ward 5, Ibadan North Local Government, as constituents look forward to more impactful initiatives under his representation.
