Oyo Lawmaker, Hon. Comforter Olajide Celebrates Commissioner, Hon. Mrs. Toyin Balogun on Her Birthday

The lawmaker representing Ibadan North Constituency I at the Oyo State House of Assembly, and Chairman House Committee On Women Affairs and Community Development Hon. Olufunke Comforter Olajide, has congratulated the Oyo State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Inclusion, Hon. Mrs. Toyin Balogun, on the occasion of her birthday.

In her message, Hon. Olajide described the Commissioner as a committed public servant who has continued to contribute her quota to the development of Oyo State, particularly in advancing the welfare of women and vulnerable groups.

She noted that Hon. Balogun’s efforts in promoting social inclusion and supporting government initiatives have been commendable and impactful within the state.

Hon. Olajide prayed for good health, wisdom, and strength for the celebrant, wishing her many more years of purposeful service and personal fulfillment.

She concluded by wishing Hon. Toyin Balogun a peaceful and joyful birthday celebration.

According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred when a driver, allegedly passing through a one-way street, was pursued by police officers. In the ensuing chase, the officers opened fire, and a stray bullet struck another vehicle carrying the teenager, who was on his way to school to sit for a WAEC exam. The foremost monarch, who ascended the throne in July 2024, died in the early hours of Monday, July 7, 2025, after spending a year on the throne.  The demise of Oba Olakulehin, born July 5, 1935, is coming barely two days after celebrating his 90th birthday.  Oba Olakulehin received the staff of office from Oyo State Governor Engr.
