The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chairmen across Ibadan North Constituency I have jointly extended warm congratulations to the party’s candidates for the 2027 General Elections, describing their emergence as a reflection of unity, credibility, and sustained service to the people.

In a jointly signed statement, the Chairmen congratulated their own Constituency I representative, Hon. Olufunke Comforter Adeniyi-Olajide, fondly known as OlutunuDe, on her emergence as the PDP candidate for a second term at the Oyo State House of Assembly. They commended her impactful representation, grassroots engagement, and unwavering dedication to the welfare of her constituents.

“Our own Honourable Comforter OlutunuDe has continued to justify the confidence reposed in her through people-oriented representation, accessibility, and visible developmental strides across the constituency. Her emergence is well-deserved and widely celebrated,” the statement read.

The Chairmen also felicitated Hon. Adebayo Babajide Gabriel, popularly known as Jagaban, on securing the party’s ticket for Ibadan North Constituency II, noting his experience, seniority in the House, and consistent contributions to legislative excellence and constituency development.

In the same vein, they congratulated Hon. Folajinmi Oyekunle, fondly called DoN, on his emergence as the PDP candidate for the Ibadan North Federal Constituency, applauding his performance at the Green Chamber and his continued commitment to the progress of the constituency.

The PDP Chairmen emphasized that the emergence of the trio signals a new phase of strengthened unity and strategic alignment within the party in Ibadan North, expressing confidence that their collective experience and synergy would translate into victory at the polls.

“With OlutunuDe, Jagaban, and DoN as our flag bearers, the PDP has presented a formidable and well-balanced team for the 2027 elections. Their records speak for them, and their connection with the grassroots remains unmatched,” they stated.

The Chairmen further assured the candidates of total support from party structures across all wards in Constituency I, pledging intensified mobilisation, engagement, and coordination to secure a resounding victory for the PDP.

“We are fully committed to working with all stakeholders to ensure that our party emerges victorious. The unity within our ranks and the performance of our candidates give us great confidence that the people will once again entrust the PDP with their mandate,” they affirmed.

They also commended the leadership of Seyi Makinde for fostering an enabling environment for good governance and party cohesion, noting that the administration’s achievements continue to resonate with the people.

The statement concluded with prayers for the candidates’ success and a reaffirmation of the party’s resolve to sustain progress in Ibadan North.
