Ibadan North Ward 5 Councillor, Hon. Ajayi “Solution” Congratulates Ibadan North PDP Consensus Candidates, Hon. DON and Hon. Comforter


The Councillor representing Ward 5 in Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Hammed Olamilekan Ajayi, popularly known as Solution, has extended warm congratulations to Hon. Folajinmi Oyekunle DoN and Hon. Olufunke Comforter Adeniyi-Olajide on their emergence as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) consensus candidates for the forthcoming elections.

Hon. Oyekunle DoN emerged as the party’s candidate for the Ibadan North Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives, while Hon. Olufunke Comforter Adeniyi-Olajide clinched the PDP ticket for Ibadan North Constituency I in the Oyo State House of Assembly. Describing their emergence as well-deserved, Hon. Ajayi noted that it is a clear testament to their unwavering commitment to community growth, their loyalty to His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, and their illustrious dedication to serving party members in Ibadan North Local Government as well as the good people they represent.

According to him, the consensus arrangement reflects the confidence reposed in both candidates by stakeholders and party faithful, who recognize their track record of service, leadership capacity, and grassroots connection. He emphasized that their emergence is not only a victory for the PDP but also a significant step toward sustaining purposeful governance and development in Ibadan North.

Hon. Ajayi further stated that this new phase marks a call to greater responsibility, expressing confidence that both candidates possess the experience and legislative competence required to deliver effectively. He described them as seasoned lawmakers whose contributions have continued to shape policies and improve the welfare of their constituents.

While wishing them success at the polls, the Ward 5 Councillor prayed for a resounding victory, urging party members and supporters to rally behind the candidates to ensure the PDP secures a decisive win in the elections. The foremost monarch, who ascended the throne in July 2024, died in the early hours of Monday, July 7, 2025, after spending a year on the throne.  The demise of Oba Olakulehin, born July 5, 1935, is coming barely two days after celebrating his 90th birthday.  Oba Olakulehin received the staff of office from Oyo State Governor Engr.
