Born into the respected family of Mr. and Mrs. R. Ola Badmus of the renowned Badieku Family, Hon. Gbadamosi Hamed Babatunde was raised with strong values of discipline, honesty, hard work, and community service. These principles have guided his personal and public life, earning him admiration across Ward 5 and beyond.

His educational journey began at Methodist School II, New Bodija, Ibadan, where he laid the foundation for academic excellence. He proceeded to Islamic High School, Bashorun, before gaining admission into The Polytechnic, Ibadan, where he obtained both his National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) in Banking and Finance.

Following his academic achievements, he participated in the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) and served diligently in Anambra State during the 2012/2013 service year. His experience outside Oyo State broadened his understanding of leadership, diversity, and national development.

Professionally, Hon. Gbadamosi joined the University Bookshop, University of Ibadan, in December 2013. Through commitment, diligence, and excellent performance, he rose through different responsibilities to become a Marketing Officer, a position he continues to occupy with distinction. His career progression reflects his ability to deliver results, manage people, and build lasting relationships.

Beyond his professional career, Hon. Gbadamosi has consistently demonstrated an uncommon passion for youth development and political organization. He served as the GSMISTS Secretary for Ibadan North Local Government between 2021 and 2023, where he contributed significantly to strengthening the structure and activities of the association.

Today, he serves as the Ibadan North Local Government GSMISTS Coordinator, providing leadership, coordination, and strategic direction for members across the local government. His dedication to grassroots mobilization and community engagement has further distinguished him as a dependable leader.

His commitment to grassroots politics is equally evident through his role as the Ikolaba Zonal Chairman, Ward 5, Ibadan North Local Government, where he has continued to unite stakeholders, mobilize residents, and promote peaceful political participation.

Hon. Gbadamosi Hamed is not new to the aspirations and challenges of Ward 5. His desire to serve has remained consistent over the years, having contested as a Councillorship Aspirant in both 2019 and 2023. Rather than becoming discouraged, these experiences strengthened his resolve, deepened his understanding of the needs of the people, and better prepared him for the responsibility of public office.

Beyond politics, Hon. Gbadamosi is a committed man of faith whose contributions to religious service are widely acknowledged. Within the Nasrul-Lahi-L-Fatih Society (NASFAT), he has served as the Assistant Security Secretary of NASFAT Iwo Road Branch and later as the Coordinator Security Secretary of NASFAT Akobo Branch, serving successfully for two terms. These responsibilities demonstrate the confidence people place in his integrity, discipline, and leadership capacity.
