A Lion’s Heart, A Dove’s Spirit: Hon. Julian Nwachukwu Celebrates Hon. Lanre Sarumi Skido on His Birthday

The Special Assistant to the Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde, FNSE, on Ibadan North Federal Constituency, Hon. Julian Arike Nwachukwu, has joined family members, friends, associates, and political well-wishers across Ibadan North and beyond to celebrate a quintessential leader and stalwart of the Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM), Hon. Olanrewaju Sarumi, popularly known as Skido, on the occasion of his birthday.

In a heartfelt message of goodwill, Hon. Julian Nwachukwu described the celebrant as a man of exceptional courage, uncommon resilience, and remarkable character, noting that his political journey has been defined by loyalty, determination, and an unwavering commitment to the pursuit of a better society.

She described Skido as "a politician with a lion’s heart and a dove’s spirit," whose courage in the face of challenges and humility in his dealings with others have distinguished him among his contemporaries.

According to her, despite the twists and turns that often characterise political engagements, Hon. Lanre Sarumi has remained resolute, resourceful, and steadfast, demonstrating a rare capacity to remain committed to his convictions while maintaining the spirit of sportsmanship and goodwill.

In her words:

"As you add another year to your sojourn on this terrestrial plane, may the heavens open doors of greater opportunities for you. May your path be gilded with divine light, and may your aspirations find fulfilment in due season.

"Like the eagle that soars beyond the storm, may you continue to rise above challenges and stand tall as a beacon of hope to our generation. Most importantly, may the Almighty God answer even your deepest and most secret prayers and crown your efforts with resounding success."

Hon. Julian Nwachukwu further urged the celebrant to remain committed to the values of service, unity, loyalty, and community development, noting that genuine impact is measured not merely by positions attained but by the lives touched and the positive footprints left behind.

She emphasised that “a candle loses nothing by lighting another," adding that the contributions of Hon. Sarumi will continue to reverberate across Ibadan North, Oyo State, and among the many people whose lives have been positively influenced by his leadership and goodwill.

As Hon. Olanrewaju Sarumi, fondly known as Skido, marks another milestone in his life, Hon. Julian Nwachukwu prayed for many more years of sound health, wisdom, uncommon grace, prosperity, fulfilment, and greater opportunities to serve humanity.

She concluded by wishing the celebrant a memorable birthday and a future filled with greater accomplishments, assuring him that his journey of courage, resilience, and service remains an inspiration to many.
