The Councillorship Candidate of the Allied Peoples' Movement (APM) for Ward 1, Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Yetunde Ayinke Folarin, has extended her heartfelt congratulations to the Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, on his emergence as the party's Chairmanship Candidate for the 2026 Local Government Elections through the unanimous consensus of the party's leadership and critical stakeholders.

Describing the development as a triumph of purposeful leadership, competence and outstanding service, Hon. Folarin said Hon. Olufade's emergence was a fitting acknowledgement of an administration that has consistently placed the welfare of the people above every other consideration.

According to her, the overwhelming confidence reposed in the council chairman by the leadership of the Allied Peoples' Movement is a reflection of the impressive record of achievements his administration has recorded across critical sectors, particularly in grassroots development, infrastructure, youth and women empowerment, healthcare support, educational advancement and inclusive governance.

She noted that under Hon. Olufade's leadership, Ibadan North Local Government has witnessed remarkable transformation through policies and programmes that have improved livelihoods, strengthened public confidence and brought governance closer to the people.

"Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade has demonstrated that true leadership is measured by service, compassion, accountability and the positive impact made in the lives of the people. His emergence as our party's Chairmanship Candidate is not merely a political decision; it is a popular endorsement of excellence, integrity and results-driven governance."
